How the model protects every party

The formula uses the greater of actual or volumetric weight (dimensions ÷ 5,000), a minimum traveller reward, inspection and handling costs, a declared-value reserve, an 8% disruption reserve, payment costs and a 22% target contribution margin. It rounds upward to the nearest 50p and applies a £24 minimum.
